Java Lead Developer

Roles and responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Lead Java Developer for a project that requires immediate availability. This opportunity is with a customer based in Nuremberg and will be conducted primarily remotely (80% remote work).

Project Overview:

• Start Date: November 1, 2024 (earlier availability preferred)
• Duration: 12 months (with the possibility of extension)
• Location: 80% remote (Nuremberg as the end customer’s base)
• Language Requirement: Proficiency in German is essential

Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

• Conception and Development of Online Services: You will be involved in designing and enhancing online services to meet the customer's needs, ensuring scalability and performance.

• Technical Management of Development Teams: Leading and guiding development teams, you will oversee technical aspects, ensuring alignment with best practices and project requirements.

• Troubleshooting and Documentation: You will handle troubleshooting to resolve issues efficiently while also maintaining comprehensive documentation to support development processes.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

To qualify for this position, candidates should assess their skills based on the following criteria, on a scale of 1 to 10:

1. Experience as a Lead Java Developer: Proven track record of leading development teams and projects effectively.

2. Kafka Proficiency: Strong experience with Apache Kafka, demonstrating the ability to work with messaging systems and data streaming.

3. Familiarity with AWS/S3: Knowledge of Amazon Web Services, particularly S3 for storage solutions, is essential.

4. Kubernetes Experience: Understanding of container orchestration and management using Kubernetes to ensure robust deployment and scaling of applications.

5. CI/CD and GitHub Knowledge: Experience in Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices and proficiency with GitHub for version control and collaboration.
