You must love working with people and have a getupandgo attitude. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will assist in the ongoing property maintenance and preventative maintenance programs. You will be guaranteed work for 30 hours a week and the ability to work a flexible work roster including weekends and public holidays.
A day at work could include:
- Performing general maintenance and repairs to the hotel
- Attend to daily maintenance requests as required
- Small tiling jobs grouting sealing
- Plastering & furniture repair work
- Door window glass installation & repair
- Setting up of rooms and equipment
- Ensure all tasks are performed with urgency and in the safest manner possible
- Assist in managing 3rd party contractors
Qualifications :
- Excellent communication skills
- A strong eye for detail
- Basic knowledge of general repair work or DIY
- Competent in the use of basic computer programs
- Workplace Health and Safety knowledge
- Demonstrated time management and task prioritisation
- Ready to assist where required in a fastpaced environment
- The ability to multitask work under pressure and problemsolve efficiently
- Have the ability and flexibility to work across a 7day roster including early mornings and weekends
- Previous Handyman Experience in a hotel or guest service environment preferred
