Job Description
We are looking to bring onto our team a powerful attorney experienced.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience exclusively in a divorce and family law setting;
- Admission to the New York State Bar (Admission to Connecticut State Bar a plus) with membership in good standing;
- Demonstrated expertise in New York family law statutes regulations and legal principles;
- Excellent legal writing skills;
- Ability to manage 20 complex cases at the same time;
- Detail oriented;
- Compassionate and empathetic towards Clients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel and representation to Clients facing various types of Matrimonial and Family Law matters most notably: Uncontested divorce contested divorce child custody petitions surrogacy contracts and prebirth orders prenuptial and postnuptial agreements child support modification;
- Preparation and drafting of legal documents;
- Conduct legal research;
- Continued legal learning through participation in CLE outside research and Firmsponsored educational workshops;
- Strict adherence to AttorneyClient confidentiality;
- Always maintain a professional and courteous attitude with clients opposing counsels Courts and coworkers.
