Northwest Talent Solutions is partnering with a leading advisory tax and assurance firm in the private industry to recruit a highly talented Senior Tax Manager for their Flow Through team. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to become an industry expert while working with middle market clients in a fastgrowing innovative environment.
Job Summary:
As a Senior Tax Manager you will be a valued business advisor delivering industryfocused tax advisory and compliance services to middle market clients. Youll work closely with firm leadership to serve clients and build the business having a direct impact on the firms success. Additionally youll mentor and coach talented staff utilizing your expertise to develop their technical and professional skills.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide federal tax compliance and consulting services to industryspecific clients
- Lead client relationships on daytoday tax matters for various clients ranging from startups to middle market companies
- Consult on technical matters and special projects in corporate and flowthrough taxation accounting methods and compliance
- Research tax matters respond to IRS and other tax authority inquiries and make recommendations to clients
- Coordinate with specialty tax practices on complicated tax matters
- Manage client engagement staffing billings/collections and ensure client profitability targets are met
- Network and build strong relationships to acquire new clients projects and revenue
- Support the growth and development of team members through mentoring and coaching
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in accounting or law or a similar degree in business (Masters or advanced degree desirable)
- CPA or JD required
- 8 years of experience providing federal tax compliance and consulting services in a professional services firm
- 5 years of supervisory experience mentoring and counseling associates
- Demonstrated management analytical organizational interpersonal project management and communication skills
- Highly developed software and Microsoft Suite skills
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred
