Job Description
Job title: Center of Excellence Program Manager
Location: Richmond VA
>Local candidates required due to onsite requirement
>Work schedule: Onsite 3 days a week remote 2 days a week
Responsible for own parking arrangements
Will lead strategic direction for assigned program area
Will manage the Center of Excellence team
Provides guidance to project teams using various methodologies like Waterfall Agile SAFe and Kanban
Ensures compliance with VDOT and VITA procedures
Overseeing initiatives and work in the assigned program
Responsible for resource allocation for deliverables and support processes
Recommends system/process changes as needed
Works with peers and subordinates to define strategic direction
Identifies gaps trends and patterns to implement process improvements
Expert in VDOT and VITA project management procedures and requirements
Expert user of Microsoft Project OnLine (POL)
Assists in developing training objectives and needs on project management procedures and practices
Develops project management processes tools templates and training
Establishes and maintains project management frameworks and supporting practices
Creates new procedures to capture best practices and mature the project management process
Manages the knowledgebase of project management reference materials.
