Job Description:
Project Objective
The aim is to provide mainframe system production support by:
- Keeping mainframe applications functional and always available to meet business needs.
- Minimizing downtime through proactive monitoring and resolving issues promptly.
- Detecting logging and addressing system disruptions while reducing the business impact.
- Documenting known system issues and solutions.
- Supporting adhoc reporting for stakeholders.
Scope of Work
This role is designed to backfill for a key resource and ensure business continuity. The contractor will assist with:
- System production support for the mainframe licensing system.
- Maintaining service levels for the end users by ensuring functionality processing and reporting.
- Documentation to help prepare for system conversion particularly workflows data quality and conversion rules.
- Providing support during the modernization of the system including helping solve business and programming problems during the Driver Services conversion.
- Assisting with data cleansing of licenses suspensions and related records.
Deliverables/Milestones
Key deliverables expected include:
- System Maintenance: Maintaining the functionality and quality of the current mainframe system.
- Documentation for Conversion: Documenting system workflows data and conversion rules for a new system.
- Modernization Assistance: Offering practical solutions during system modernization efforts.
- Data Cleansing: Cleaning and organizing data such as licenses and registration suspensions.
Criteria for Completion
All deliverables will be:
- Reviewed by peers.
- Approved by supervisors.
- Accepted by business stakeholders.
