As a Senior Technician you will:
- Manage and maintain the configuration of hardware and software systems.
- Oversee the installation configuration and maintenance of various systems ensuring they meet organizational requirements.
- Lead a team of technicians and collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure smooth operation of the technology infrastructure.
- Conduct lifecycle planning control and management of organizational assets.
- Manage documentation software and service assets and information relating to those assets and their relationships.
- Identify classify and specify configuration items (CIs) and manage their interfaces to other processes and data.
- Oversee storage access service relationships versions problem reporting and change control of CIs.
- Apply status accounting and auditing in line with external standards (e.g. ISO 9000 ISO/IEC 20000 ISO/IEC 27000) to ensure security throughout the CI lifecycle including early stages of system development.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with at least 2 years of postrelated experience or a secondary educational qualification with at least 4 years of postrelated experience.
- Minimum 2 years of practical experience in configuration management or related support.
- Sound understanding and experience working with IT Service Management tools and technologies (e.g. BMC Remedy ITSM Suite).
- Experience with ITIL change and configuration management best practices.
- ITIL v3/v4 Foundation Certification.
You should possess the ability to:
- Understand infrastructure solutions hosting Service Management tools and technologies.
- Work with leading database solutions (e.g. MS SQL Oracle).
