Join Our Team as a Career Services Advisor at a Leading College in Rockford

The Role:
As a Career Services Advisor you will play an integral role in guiding students and graduates toward fulfilling career paths. Reporting to the Director of Career Services you will collaborate with various departments including Program Chairs Faculty and Student Services to support the extern and graduate process.
Key Responsibilities:
Graduate Support:
- Assist graduates in job searches by developing leads conducting followups and refining employment documents.
- Actively market graduates to potential employers consistently achieving successful placements.
- Maintain and verify placement data ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Educate graduates on job search strategies market trends and professional etiquette.

Current Student Support:
- Conduct career development workshops to prepare students for postgraduation employment.
- Facilitate exit interviews and needs assessments with students and externs.
- Liaise with extern sites to secure placements that fulfill educational requirements exceeding externtohire goals.

Employer Engagement:
- Cultivate relationships with employers and extern sites to generate job leads.
- Support employers in filling positions with qualified graduates.
- Organize job fairs employer talks and oncampus interviews to enhance student exposure to job opportunities.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- An Associate or Bachelor s degree is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint).
- Experience in career services staffing recruiting or related fields.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
- A proactive team player with excellent social interaction abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
- Familiarity with Campus Nexxus is a plus.
- Residency within a commutable distance to Rockford IL is required for this inperson role.
