Job Description

As a Web Administrator you ll play a pivotal role in this process by managing and enhancing ecommerce websites tailored to a diverse international audience. Your responsibilities will include setting up ecommerce platforms updating DNS records configuring payment gateways and adjusting Magento settings to ensure seamless online transactions. Additionally you ll provide technical support to both clients and internal teams handling Jira development tasks and escalating issues as needed.

Your Game Plan: Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive enduser support managing both internal and external communications.
  • Work primarily with Magento and proprietary applications to ensure smooth operations.
  • Configure and maintain current and new client websites ensuring optimal functionality and user experience.
  • Escalate technical issues appropriately by understanding different development and support departments ensuring timely resolutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues efficiently minimizing downtime.
  • Oversee the general development Jira desk maintaining clear communication with department teams about issues and progress.
  • Coordinate site improvements and support by collaborating with clients and thirdparty service providers.
  • Manage domain configurations and DNS entries to ensure reliable website accessibility.
  • Oversee internal processes and maintain thorough documentation to ensure continuity and efficiency.

MagentoSpecific Duties:

  • Configure essential site details including location contact information store details and email settings.
  • Handle basic payment and tax configurations to ensure smooth transactions.
  • Set up shipping origins and basic shipping methods to meet client needs.
  • Implement catalog and cart price rules ensuring accurate pricing strategies.
  • Manage the abandoned cart system to optimize the recovery of lost sales.
  • Configure and troubleshoot email templates to ensure effective communication.
  • Provide SEO support when needed enhancing site visibility and traffic.
  • Set up and manage manufacturer rebates blogs reports and email tracking features.
  • Administer user access controls including IP whitelisting and blacklisting to ensure secure operations.
  • Configure various thirdparty integrations including Hubspot Facebook Avatax and more for seamless functionality.
  • Implement proprietary integrations such as Linq and HUB tailored to company needs.
  • Monitor and manage order statuses returns and shipping notices ensuring timely fulfillment.
  • Regularly test site functions to identify and resolve any issues proactively.

Remote Work/Travel:

  • This position will work remotely from a home address and is subject to AVB s Remote Work policies and procedures.
  • Occasionally this position will require travel including attendance at AVB s Annual AllEmployee Meeting and other events such as meetings conventions shows and other events representing AVB.

Additional Skills:

  • Familiarity: With JavaScript PHP and Web APIs is a plus.
  • Prioritization: Ability to prioritize work and resources effectively across various support tasks and projects balancing shortterm needs with longterm goals.
  • ProblemSolving: Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish tasks demonstrating a proactive approach.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma technical training or equivalent combination of education and technical experience.
  • 1 year of HTML and CSS experience.
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) with Magento and WordPress preferred.
  • Experience with project management tools with Jira preferred.
  • Strong problemsolving skills are a must.
