PMO Manager

Join our dynamic team and play a critical role in establishing a robust project management office (PMO) for one of our key clients. You will be instrumental in building a greenfield PMO that drives project delivery excellence across the organisation.
Role Summary:
The PMO Manager will spearhead the establishment of a greenfield PMO ensuring alignment with the organisations strategic objectives. This leadership position requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in PMO management and a passion for delivering impactful change. By overseeing multiple workstreams the PMO Manager will enhance project success and drive continuous improvement across programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
- PMO Leadership: Take charge of building a groupwide greenfield portfolio office setting up the governance and control frameworks needed to support a diverse range of vertical programs.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leadership to align the PMO strategy with broader business goals providing insight and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Portfolio Management: Oversee multiple workstreams ensuring that the programs are aligned with the organisations strategic objectives and delivered within time scope and budget.
- Program Governance: Develop and implement robust governance processes to manage risks track progress and ensure that all programs are delivered to the highest quality standards.
- Scaling the PMO: As the organisation grows you ll help scale the PMO potentially managing a team of PMO Analysts Business Analysts and Project Managers across various programs.
- Business Case Development: Work with Program Managers to create compelling business cases for additional resources and investments ensuring the longterm sustainability of the portfolio office.
What We re Looking For:
- Proven experience in PMO management with a track record of establishing or managing successful portfolio offices in large organisations.
- Strong experience in program governance and setting up governance frameworks for project delivery.
- Expertise in resource management including recruitment and management of PMO teams analysts and support staff.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex workstreams simultaneously ensuring alignment with organisational goals and priorities.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage and influence at all levels including senior leadership.
- A strategic thinker who can drive the growth and scaling of a PMO function in a fastpaced evolving organisation.
- Familiarity with change management processes and methodologies in a lean agile environment.

- Knowledge of project management tools and software applications.
- Previous experience in a similar industry or project types that align with the organisations portfolio.
- Track record of successful business case development and investment justification.
