DESCRIPTION OF THE COMPANY
Tissium is a missiondriven medical device company founded in 2013 headquartered in Paris with a production facility in Roncq (near Lille) and an office in Boston. We are dedicated to creating a new era of body repair by leveraging our biopolymer platform to develop new innovative solutions in surgery for a positive impact on patients lives.
Tissiums technology is based on research and intellectual property from the laboratories of Professor Robert Langer (MIT) and Professor Jeffrey M. Karp (Brigham and Womens Hospital) who cofounded the company with Christophe Bancel (CEO) and Maria Pereira (Chief Innovation Officer).
We are developing polymers for atraumatic tissue repair in various applications. Today these polymers are used for structureless nerve repair hernia repair and cardiovascular sealing
Since our inception we have raised a total of 170 million euros. Our latest fundraising round which concluded in April 2023 resulted in 50 million euros in additional funding. This infusion of capital provides us with the necessary resources to finance the commercialization of our first products.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Passionate about legal affairs the apprentice will:
- Assist the Legal Department in the management and legal advice to operational staff (drafting/reviewing contracts legal research management of electronic signatures)
- Participate in the design and management of processes contributing to the companys compliance with all of its legal and ethical obligations.
- Support our Legal Counselin performing analysis research and drafting materials on codes of ethics and French European and US regulations relating to medical device activities.
- Help create training materials update dashboards and create presentations.
- Monitor regulatory legislative and political processes of interest to Tissium.
- Support the department with any other legal projects including digitalisation efforts.
The internship must take place within the framework of a university degree ideally a Masters degree in Law specialised in Corporate Health or Compliance law.

This job will report to the General Counsel.
YOUR BACKGROUND
- Fluency in written and spoken English is a must along with good knowledge of French.
- You are currently in the process of completing a Master in Law covering the areas described above.
- You are a selfstarter able to work autonomously.
- You are a team player with a strong sense of responsibility.

- You are a quick learner at ease with the use of digital tool.
