You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailAs a Pastry Chef, you are responsible for operating the pastry section of the kitchen while working closely with the Executive Pastry Chef to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. A Pastry Chef will also be required to plan production and develop seasonal offerings. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Assist the Executive Pastry Chef in running the pastry section of the kitchen.
Ensure excellent quality throughout the dessert offerings.
Bring creativity to the pastry offerings.
Supervise and coordinate all pastry and dessert preparation and presentation.
Plan production to facilitate daily requirements.
Develop appropriate seasonal menu offerings.
Manage food cost controls to contribute to Food and Beverage revenue.
Ensure compliance with food hygiene and Health and Safety regulations.
Recipe Development:
Create and design a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods, including cakes, cookies, tarts, and breads.
Experiment with new recipes and techniques to enhance the menu and keep offerings fresh.
Preparation and Baking:
Prepare doughs, batters, and fillings using precise measurements and techniques.
Bake and finish products, ensuring quality and consistency in appearance and taste.
Presentation and Decoration:
Decorate pastries and desserts with artistic flair, utilizing techniques such as glazing, icing, and garnishing.
Ensure that all items are visually appealing and meet presentation standards.
Inventory Management:
Monitor and manage inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies.
Order supplies as needed and ensure proper storage of perishable items.
