About the role:
This role will be responsible for partnerships and networking in the field of Disaster risk reduction & Disaster response with range of stakeholders including government UN agencies NGOs CBOs and networks for disaster response.

Roles & Responsibility

• Build network and partnership with stakeholders working for Disaster Risk Reduction and Disaster Response (including Disaster Management Agency Disaster Management NGOs Cyclone Shelter Community Members Marine Police NSS/ NCC students Panchayat Leaders key informants from communities humanitarian institutions) to strengthen response activities.
• Engagement with technical institutions for finding localized disaster management solution to mitigate disaster risks.
• Collaborate with various voluntary organizations / Community Based organizations and grassroots / youth networks to generate active participation of the vulnerable community towards raising community awareness promotion of resilient technologies and disaster preparednes
• Ensuring dynamic content collection for disseminating various disaster management advisories and early warnings.
• Supporting field team to strengthen partnership with appropriate authority for getting local administration support and inclusive relief distribution.
• Identify and build partnership with various universities / colleges specializing in Disaster management so as to get expertise support and students engagement for measuring outcomes of various Disaster Management initiatives
• Share a periodical communication on partnership activities to the different agencies involved in Disaster Management activities.
• Support in coordination and communication among Disaster Risk Reduction Working Group members and with relevant government departments at various levels for effective implementation of the strategic workplans

Key Stakeholders/ Collaborators

• Government Stakeholders at national level including NDMA NIDM NDRF etc.
• Government Stakeholders at state level like SDMA SIDM government line departments etc.
• Youth volunteers NGOs & CBOs
• Other RF verticals and RIL ecosystem

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Include Additional Certification Required if any

• Post Graduation in Disaster Management / Climate Change /Environmental Science / Natural Resource Management.
• Minimum 10 years of experience of working with Disaster Management Sector
• Experience of working with government stakeholders.

Other Requirements

• Experience of working with DRR coordination agencies including IAG networks and sphere.
• Experience of working with UN agencies on Disaster Management.
• Experience of working in private sector in Disaster Management is
• desirable.
• Fluency in English report preparation and presentation skills are essential
