Position: QA Test Analyst
Location: San Jose CA 95134
Duration: 10 Months
Job Type: Contract
Work Type: Remote
Job Description:
- We are looking for a candidate who has experience building a comprehensive manual test case framework in an enterprise environment using modern toolsets.
- With a view to the majority of these tests being integrated into automated testing.
- They should have experience working in close collaboration with developers and manual/automated QA testers (both comfortably in small and large teams) to create a resilient testing platform that reduces manual intervention and increases confidence in regression/baseline testing as well as new features in the application.
- As a Manual QA Engineer your responsibilities and duties include the manual testing of application software in both the pre and postrelease stages of the development lifecycle.
- Bachelors degree and 5 years of experience are required.
Our ideal Manual QA Engineer will have:
- Strong analytical mind
- The ability to problemsolve
- Self starter & ability to work independently
- Experience with software quality assuranceExperience in the software development lifecycle
- Ability to adapt testing based on requirements
- Looking for candidates who can write and execute detailed test cases from scratch
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze application specifications
- Develop effective test plans
- Execute manual test cases and analyze results
- Identify and report bugs and errors to development team
- Document test results and defects
- Work with team to ensure quality throughout the software development
- Ensure functionality of applications and they match the specifications
- Assist developers to recreate bugs
