Job Summary: Responsible for all human resources issues including staffing staff relations orientation and development compensation and benefits. Ensures compliance with federal state and local laws and regulations. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.
Regulatory Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resources Masters preferred.
- At least one (1) year experience as a Human Resources Generalist in the hospital setting.
- Knowledge of relevant federal state and local registration relating to Human Resources e.g. Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 Affirmative Action ADA FMLA.
Required Competency in the Following Areas:
- Attends facility meetings prepares reports and analyzes and provides recommendations in a timely and accurate manner.
- Interacts with department directors/managers on a wide range of staff performance issues and evaluations.
- Review all terminations and written disciplinary actions before they are carried out to ensure they meet the facilitys policies and procedures.
- Mediates conflicts between employees and management to resolve misunderstandings facilitate communication and promote effective working relationships.
- Reviews and approves leaves of absence requests; reviews parttime schedule requests.
- Supports and maintains a culture of safety and quality.
This position may be assigned various duties and projects as needed.
