Shift Time: MF 7:30am4pm (Variable Shift depending on need)
Job Description:
- The IS Field Support Technician provides advanced consultation training and troubleshooting for technical staff and end users regarding hardware software network systems handheld devices and peripherals. This role ensures the effective operation of these systems for individuals and groups.
Key responsibilities:
- Analyzing recommending installing configuring and evaluating systems and tools for internal and enduser use.
- Developing and conducting tests for hardware and software; reporting on configurations and behavior.
- Creating and providing technical documentation and training.
- Assessing needs and recommending hardware and software acquisitions and upgrades.
Responsibilities:
- Apply acquired job skills policies and procedures to complete assignments/projects of moderate scope and complexity.
- Exercise judgment within defined guidelines to resolve hardware software and networking issues.
- Provide escalated technical support and plan/implement hardware and software upgrades.
- Troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex network connectivity issues; may provide server administration support.
- Consult with users to assess file structure needs and perform data migration.
- Create and oversee the development of complex technical documentation; provide training based on user consultations.
- Support junior staff by assisting in resolving customer problems and conducting hardware and software tests.
- Analyze and summarize reports of results drawing conclusions and making recommendations.
- Provide systems analysis support and recommend appropriate tools for users.
- Test systems and update internal documentation; may contribute to system redesign or development based on user needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in a related area; and/or equivalent experience/training.
- Proven experience in providing information systems support and management in a largescale organization.
- Experience in conducting escalated technical support including hardware/software tests analyzing results and producing reports with conclusions and recommendations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a healthcare environment.
- CompTIA Network Certification.
