Job Description

Job role: Cybersecurity Project Manager
Duration: Contract

Location: Poughkeepsie NY Onsite

What does it take to be an IT Project Manager

Required:

  • Strong experience in project managing and delivery of Cyber Security projects.
  • Bachelors degree; preferably in Information Technology Computer Science Business or other related field
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Six Sigma SLDC or Agile certification
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks standards and best practices
  • 7 years of experience managing projects within a matrixed or cosourced environment
  • Demonstrated capability for problem solving decision making sound judgment assertiveness
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills with ability to conduct presentations comfortably to large groups
  • Strong relationship building / interpersonal skills and experience providing service to internal stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes
  • Experienced user of MS Project and MS Office toolset (Word Excel Visio and PowerPoint)

Preferred:

  • Experience in Energy & Utilities or services industry.
  • Experience with Cybersecurity tools.
  • Masters degree (in aforementioned fields)
  • Experience with PPM tools Jira ServiceNow or other.
  • Experience in risk management threat intelligence and incident response.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP CISM or comparable
