Job Description
Environment & Sustainability Manager
Hill International is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environment & Sustainability Manager to join our team in Riyadh Saudi Arabia. As the Environment & Sustainability Manager you will be responsible for developing and implementing environmental and sustainability strategies policies and initiatives for our projects in the Riyadh Province.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement environmental and sustainability policies and procedures in accordance with local regulations and international standards
Conduct environmental impact assessments and identify potential risks and hazards on project sites
Develop and implement environmental management plans to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulations
Monitor and report on environmental performance of projects including waste management energy consumption and carbon emissions
Provide guidance and training to project teams on environmental and sustainability practices
Liaise with government agencies local communities and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulations and promote sustainability initiatives
Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with environmental standards
Keep abreast of industry developments and best practices in environmental and sustainability management
Prepare and submit reports to clients and senior management on environmental and sustainability performance
Collaborate with project teams to identify and implement sustainable solutions and initiatives
Manage and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with environmental and sustainability requirements
Oversee the implementation of environmental and sustainability requirements in the procurement process
Participate in project meetings and provide advice on environmental and sustainability matters.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Environmental Science Sustainability or a related field
Minimum of 15 years of experience in environmental and sustainability management preferably in the construction industry
Knowledge of local environmental regulations and international sustainability standards
Experience in conducting environmental impact assessments and developing environmental management plans
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Fluent in English both written and spoken
Experience working in Saudi Arabia is preferred.
