We are seeking a seasoned Cognos Architect to lead the migration of our existing reporting infrastructure to a modern scalable platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Cognos technology coupled with experience in data modeling SQL and Power BI reporting. This role requires a combination of technical expertise strategic thinking and effective communication skills to drive successful project execution.

8.Responsibilities :

Migration Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive migration strategy for our Cognos reporting environment considering factors such as data volume complexity and performance requirements.

Data Modeling: Design and optimize data models to ensure efficient and accurate reporting.

Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to create robust and scalable data structures.

Cognos Expertise: Possess deep knowledge of Cognos architecture components and best practices.

Be proficient in using Cognos tools for report development administration and performance tuning.

Power BI Experience: Must have profound knowledge and experience in building semantic models designing and developing Power BI reports.

Should have good understanding of Power BI Service Gateway and Licensing models.

Must be familiar with Power BI Architecture best practices and standards.

Should have experience in performance tuning.

SQL Proficiency: Demonstrate strong SQL skills to query manipulate and analyze data effectively.

Team Leadership: Guide and mentor a team of report developers and analysts ensuring alignment with project goals and providing technical guidance.

Communication: Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders fostering collaboration and understanding.

ProblemSolving: Identify and troubleshoot issues related to report performance data quality and system integration.

Qualifications

Possess a deep understanding of DAX and its application in Power BI for advanced data analysis.

Demonstrate proficiency in data modelling techniques within Power BI to create robust data structures.

Exhibit strong expertise in IBM Cognos Query Studio and Report Studio for report generation and customization.

Showcase excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to troubleshoot datarelated issues effectively.

Have a proven track record of developing interactive dashboards and reports that drive business insights.

Display strong communication skills to convey technical information to nontechnical stakeholders.

Show a commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends and best practices.
