Client: IBM
Role: IT Security F5 Engineer
Duration: 36 months
Pay: 75/hr C2C
Location: Hybrid Denver CO
Open to Sponsorship: Yes

Must haves Palo Alto Xseries Firewalls; F5 Solutions; Perimeter Security; Intrusion Detection
Nice to haves NIST Cybersecurity Framework; SIEM systems

Description Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT Security F5 skilled resource to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in intrusion detection Palo Alto XSeries firewalls and F5 solutions. This role will be responsible for designing implementing and maintaining secure network architectures as well as responding to security incidents.
Roles and Responsibilities
Technical Expertise
Design and implement intrusion detection systems to prevent and respond to security incidents.
Configure manage and troubleshoot Palo Alto XSeries firewalls to ensure secure network access and segmentation.
Implement and manage F5 solutions including load balancers application delivery controllers (ADCs) and security devices.
Design and implement secure network architectures to protect against threats and vulnerabilities.
Incident Response
Respond to and investigate security incidents including identifying root causes and implementing remediation plans.
Perform threat hunting activities to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
Ensure compliance with security policies procedures and regulations and identify and manage security risks.
Collaboration and Communication
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including networking security and development to ensure secure and reliable network operations.
Provide training and documentation to stakeholders on security policies procedures and best practices.
Promote security awareness and education throughout the organization.
Technical Requirements
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Cybersecurity or related field.
CompTIA Security CISSP or equivalent certifications.
5 years of experience in IT security with expertise in intrusion detection Palo Alto XSeries firewalls and F5 solutions.
Additional Skills
Strong understanding of network security concepts including firewalls VPNs and intrusion detection.
Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
