Job Description
Job Title: Head of Maintenance Mechanical
Location: Kiambu County
Job Type: FullTime
Overview: Our client a leading organization in the milling baking and retail sectors is committed to excellence innovation and community service. They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Maintenance Mechanical to lead and oversee all mechanical maintenance activities within their facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering extensive handson experience and a proven track record in managing maintenance teams and ensuring operational efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Maintenance Management:
1. Oversee and manage all mechanical maintenance activities within the companys facilities.
2. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure minimal downtime and optimal equipment performance.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues promptly to maintain continuous operations.
2. Team Leadership:
0. Lead mentor and supervise a team of mechanical technicians and maintenance staff.
1. Conduct regular training and development programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
3. Compliance and Safety:
0. Ensure all mechanical systems and equipment comply with local regulations safety standards and company policies.
1. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
4. Budget Management:
0. Prepare and manage the mechanical maintenance budget ensuring costeffective operations.
1. Monitor and control maintenance expenses optimizing resource allocation.
5. Project Management:
0. Plan and execute mechanical maintenance projects including upgrades installations and repairs.
1. Coordinate with other departments and external contractors to ensure timely and successful project completion.
6. Equipment Management:
0. Maintain an inventory of mechanical equipment and spare parts ensuring availability for maintenance and emergency repairs.
1. Conduct regular inspections and testing of mechanical systems to ensure reliability and efficiency.
7. Reporting:
0. Prepare and present maintenance reports to senior management providing insights into operational performance and areas for improvement.
1. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities equipment performance and compliance documentation.
Requirements
Requirements:
Education: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems equipment and maintenance practices.
Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting and problemsolving.
Excellent leadership organizational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fastpaced environment.
