Job Description
Client is seeking a Technical Writer to create technical product documentation for endusers of the Texas Air Emissions Repository (TexAER) database. The ideal candidate will have experience developing enduser documentation for complex applications working closely with technical staff and producing tutorials guides and reference materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with TCEQ staff to create detailed technical documentation for the TexAER database.
- Develop outline and format program and enduser documents including tutorials user guides troubleshooting manuals and reference materials.
- Incorporate feedback from staff and users to revise and improve documentation.
- Produce video tutorials that meet TCEQ DIR and World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members of various technical skill levels providing technical support and testing.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- 8 years of experience in web page user interface design and developing enduser documentation for complex relational database applications.
- Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to collaborate with individuals at different technical levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience with the limitations and capabilities of computer systems and their integration with enduser business processes.
- Expertise in preparing technical documents for both technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data for documentation purposes.
