Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Postgres SME and SQL Tuning Expert to join our team to assist a Client migration from Oracle database to Postgres. The ideal candidate will have indepth knowledge and expertise in all aspects of Postgres database administration and performance management. The Postgres SME will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency security and optimization of clients database systems to support organizations data management goals.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Design deploy and maintain highperformance Postgres database environments
• Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues
• Implement database security best practices and ensure data integrity
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to design and implement database solutions
• Manage database backups and recovery procedures
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in Postgres database technology

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience as a Postgres database administrator or SME
• Expert in SQL and PL/pgSQL programming and performance tuning
• Advanced knowledge of Postgres database administration including configuration tuning and monitoring
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Relevant certifications (e.g. PostgreSQL Certified Professional) a plus
