Job Description

Dive into the heart of logistics with a pivotal role as a Head of Transport Planning where youll join a team committed to excellence and cost efficiency. This role places you at the strategic center of our operations where youll manage and optimize transport routes to ensure toptier service delivery to our international clientele.
Reorting to the Clevel youll be a key player to our management team driving forward our logistics solutions.
Tasks
You will lead by example promoting best practices optimizing cost and cocreating impactful strategies with key stakeholders for achieving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse team responsible for transport planning across multiple regions within a matrix organisation.
- Ensure smooth coordination and execution of transport planning processes acting as the goto expert for all planningrelated queries and escalations.
- Optimize transport costs by driving initiatives that reduce empty mileage enhance routing efficiency and leverage capacity effectively.
- Manage relationships with local transport managers and stakeholders ensuring compliance with corporate and regional guidelines.
- Spearhead new transport initiatives and strategies contributing to the companys growth and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years experience in (senior) transport planning role.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage crossfunctional teams.
- Your higher educational background in logistics/business or a related field has equipped you with ability to make strategic decisions based on data.
- You are a strong dynamic team player with excellent communication skills proficient in MS Office and fluent in English Dutch is plus.
