Location: Various locations across Illinois
Critical Care Paramedics provide advanced care to critically ill patients during transport. They utilize specialized equipment and techniques to stabilize patients en route to medical facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced assessments and interventions for critically ill patients.
- Administer medications and therapies as needed.
- Monitor and manage complex medical equipment.
- Coordinate with hospitals for critical care transfer protocols.
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly.
Requirements
- Advanced paramedic training with specialization in critical care.
- State certification/licensure as a paramedic.
- Strong clinical skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
