Summary
The Assistant Manager oversees administrative tasks and field operations related to moving services. This role provides direction to team members manages customer interactions resolves issues coordinates with internal departments to ensure smooth operations and in some cases performs onsite work.
Essential Duties
• Oversee administrative tasks and onsite operations for moving services.
• Ensure all shipment documentation is properly filled out.
• Provide direction and guidance to team members at the job site.
• Handle customer interactions and resolve any issues.
• Maintain strong working relationships with customers at the job site.
• Provide general business support including Japanese/English translation.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Supervise team members to ensure safety and efficiency in packing handling loading unloading and storing customer belongings.
• Safely and efficiently load and unload customer belongings in compliance with procedures.
• Assess if special warehouse packing is required.
• Prevent damage to items during the move.
• Assist drivers in safely parking moving trucks.
• Perform other duties as assigned to ensure a successful and safe move.

Qualifications
• Experience in the moving industry is preferred.
• Proficiency in Japanese communication.
• Previous management experience is a plus.
• Ability to work closely with a team in a respectful and professional manner.
• Ability to frequently stand bend twist reach lift push pull and carry heavy objects.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
