Our client is a Minnesota company who manufactures and markets many branded consumer products. Their history dates to back the mid 1800s.
As a Sample Processing Technician you will be responsible for performing processing and comminution techniques in a highvolume fastpaced commercial lab.
Sample preparation is the first stage of the sample life cycle and it is crucial that all steps (processing aliquoting labelling and storage) are completed correctly to ensure the accuracy of lab testing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow preparation techniques for the processing of samples for lab testing including the use of grinding mills and other comminution techniques (i.e. blenders Magic Bullet grinders liquid nitrogen).
- Ensure accurate labeling of sample cups with assigned unique identifiers.
- Record sample preparation techniques and delivery details into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) software.
- Maintain organization structure of samples by accurately delivering and disposing of samples as necessary
- Execute submission requests through third party labs by logging samples and preparing them for shipment
- Follow all lab safety and quality requirements and procedures (i.e. PPE GMP OSHA ISO)
Salary: $23/hr (12 month contract)
Schedule: 40 hours /week MonFri
(2 shifts: 7am3pm and 9am5pm. Schedule is alternated during the week needs to be available for both shifts.)

QUALIFICATIONS
- Associates or Bachelors Degree Biology Chemistry Food Science or related field.
- Min of 2 years experience in a laboratory setting (Associates degree can be substituted for 2 years experience)
- Ability to use multiple systems (LIMS salesforce Outlook OneNote subcontract lab portals)
- Broad knowledge of food testing services
- Strong attention to detail
