We are seeking a strategic development manager for our client in the oil & gas industry to collaborate with department leaders in developing mediumand longterm business strategies. This role involves fostering business partnerships and aligning functional strategies with overarching business goals. The ideal candidate will communicate actionable plans that drive sustainable improvements in business performance and prepare the organization for future success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with department leaders to develop mediumand longterm business strategies offering expert guidance and sound judgment to enhance research and analysis.
- Foster business partnerships and provide consultation to align functional strategies with overall business goals.
- Communicate actionable plans that drive significant sustainable improvements in business performance positioning the organization for future success.
- Rapidly familiarize yourself with various business functions to identify process improvement opportunities that enhance revenue lower OPEX and CAPEX.
- Design organizational structures that support strategic initiatives and process improvements.
- Oversee daytoday execution of inhouse consulting projects ensuring internal stakeholder needs are met effectively.
- Prepare and deliver reports on organizational transformation progress to business leaders.
- Develop and implement management tools (e.g. action trackers) to help the organization achieve its ambitious goals with agility and minimal risk.
- Facilitate workshops with frontline employees and managers motivating and coaching teams as needed.
- Collaborate with business leaders to implement bold changes that sustainably alter strategic operational and financial trajectories.
Requirements:
- At least 7 years of consulting or relevant experience in the chemical/petrochemical or oil & gas industry
- Bachelor Degree in business administration or change management
- Demonstrated leadership in driving organizational change managing turnarounds and creating effective operating models.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to synthesize findings into clear recommendations for senior leaders.
- Highly selfmotivated and organized with strong analytical capabilities and a knack for conceptual thinking.
