Job Description

Our client is a very successful wellestablished chartered accountancy practice based in Orpington Kent. They are seeking an allround experienced audit and accounts manager / senior manager to join their team on a fulltime or parttime permanent basis with partnership prospects on offer. This position will primarily be focused on accounts and audit and accounts work and the levels can be adjusted based on the applicants experience and aspirations. There are excellent progression prospects on offer the chance to maintain a good worklife balance through flexibility and hybrid working. You will work with a mixed client base with a large proportion of NFP clients within the education charity and academy sectors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • The role will focus mainly on delivering accountancy and tax and audit services.
  • Support a varied portfolio of clients.
  • Lead audits from planning through to completion liaising with the team and client where necessary.
  • Host and conduct preaudit and postaudit meetings with clients.
  • Provide accountancy and taxation advice and support to clients as necessary.
  • Conduct client meetings for the presentation of final draft accounts.
  • Lead and manage a small team of qualified and partqualified accountants.
  • Mentor the team reviewing their work and encouraging prompt and highquality delivery and service.
  • Develop and expand the team s skillset through development plans and training and support.
  • Contribute to the firm s growth by retaining existing clients and building relationships with prospective clients.

Requirements

  • Qualified ACA or ACCA or equivalent
  • Min. 5 years postqualification experience in practice
  • Experience in accounts preparation auditing SMEsized limited companies taxation (corporate business & personal)
  • Experience supervising staff
  • Effective communication skills
  • Proactive and able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision
  • Excellent planning organisation & deadline time keeping skills
  • Good computer skills

ACA/ACCA studying or qualified by experience Experience in audit fieldwork, or potentially planning audits. Client-facing experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
