Job Description
Job Title: MRI Technologist
Facility: Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center
Location: 2131 S 17th St Wilmington NC 28401
Shift: Mid Shift 5x8Hour (14:30 23:00)
Pay Rate: $60 to $65 per hour
Position Overview:
ESO Consultant is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our radiology department. This is a midshift position with a schedule of five 8hour shifts per week. The ideal candidate will have experience in a variety of MRI procedures working with advanced imaging systems and providing care for a diverse patient population including adolescents adults and geriatrics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI scans on various anatomical regions including the abdomen pelvis head neck spine and musculoskeletal areas.
- Use specialized techniques such as diffusion imaging (nonbrain) gradient echo imaging MIP MRP peripheral magnetic resonance spin echo images surface coils T1 and T2 sequences and CINE.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process.
- Collaborate with the medical team to review images and provide diagnostic assistance.
- Assist with patient positioning and contrast injection when necessary.
- Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of MRI experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification
- Proficiency in abdomen pelvis head and neck spine musculoskeletal and other MRI imaging techniques
Preferred Skills/Certifications:
- Experience in chest imaging and postprocessing of images.
Contract Details:
- Duration: 13 weeks with potential extension up to March 15 2025
- Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week
- No call float or weekend requirements
- Up to 7 days of RTO (requested time off)
- Must be available to work during catastrophic events or emergencies

- Unit Orientation: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM during the first week
- Hospital Orientation: Week one with full attendance required
- Scrubs: Royal blue
- Special equipment: GE Siemens systems
