Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software.
Manage and mentor the IT team, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
Ensure the security of the company’s IT systems, including data protection and disaster recovery plans.
Develop and implement IT policies and best practices.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
Manage IT budgets, including cost management and allocation of resources.
Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement technology solutions that enhance business operations.
Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and advancements to drive continuous improvement.
Vendor management and negotiation for IT services and products.
Strategic Planning:

Develop and implement the IT strategy to align with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
Identify technology trends and assess their impact on the organization.
Team Management:

Supervise and lead the IT team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support for professional development.
Assign responsibilities and manage workload to ensure efficient operations.
System Administration:

Oversee the maintenance, security, and reliability of IT systems, networks, and infrastructure.
Ensure that all technology resources are used efficiently and effectively.
Budget Management:

Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring that expenditures align with strategic priorities.
Evaluate and recommend technology purchases and upgrades to optimize performance.
Project Management:

Manage IT projects from planning through execution, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Collaborate with other departments to understand their technology needs and provide appropriate solutions.
Security and Compliance:

Implement and monitor IT security policies to protect the organization’s data and systems.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Vendor Management:

Establish and maintain relationships with technology vendors and service providers.
Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance to ensure quality service delivery.
User Support:

Oversee technical support operations to ensure timely resolution of issues for staff and end-users.
Develop training programs to enhance staff proficiency with technology.


Desired candidate profile

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Proven experience as an IT Manager in luxury or similar role in in GCC.
Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, and related technologies.
Experience with IT budgeting and financial management.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Leadership and team management experience.
Knowledge of IT security practices and regulations
Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, and emerging technologies.
Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Problem-Solving Abilities: Capable of analyzing complex issues and implementing effective solutions.
Personal Qualities:
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders at all levels.
Detail-Oriented: Meticulous in monitoring systems and processes to ensure optimal performance.
Adaptability: Flexible and able to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
