Summary:
This role is for Hedge Fund Industry based in North America and Canada and includes functions like Subscription Redemption AML screening Payment Reporting etc. Additionally role would include managing a team which would support AML Center of Excellence (COE) based in Ireland. The incumbent needs to understand these processes and laws of the regions supported and perform day to day work in accordance with procedure set for an activity. The role needs to work in rotational shift and there would be shifts starting at 1:30 PM or later.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure all internal and external service levels and regulatory deadlines are met. All NAV and payment timescales are met and AML periodic reviews are completed as per the risk rating of the client.
- Ensure all task procedures are followed by the team. On an ongoing basis ensure all procedures are maintained and that they reflect updates brought about from internal policy or regulation changes
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal teams across geographical locations
- Support the continued creation of the efficient operating model ensuring India hub is established with appropriate controls
- Respond to enquiries promptly proactively handling issues and striving for the highest levels of customer service
- Provide a contact point and/or assistance with queries from Clients Depositories etc and key contacts.
- Identify instances of noncompliance and refer to the Senior Managers and the Compliance Department and resolve them.
- Maintain staff training and competence standards with regular 11 and team meeting.
- Maintain an awareness and understanding of the investment industry.
- Develop in depth understanding of the process and department.
- Able to represent the Department/Organisation in various forums
- Assisting in responding to regular reviews/audits and Compliance Visits.
- Champion any change or improvement initiative by the Organisation
- Emerging risks are identified assessed and captured within the departmental risk register and where appropriate subject to escalation to senior management.
- Operational controls are carried out in accordance with the laid down business policies and procedures.
- Periodic assessments and test of effectiveness of Internal Controls
- Actions for improvements are dealt with in accordance with agreed timescales.
- Create and maintain KPI and performance dashboards
- Work closely with HR department in Hiring process i.e. Conducting interviews budgeting etc
- Should monitor FTE Utilisation closely and inform to Senior Management in case of variances excess capacity or shortfall

Candidate Profile:
- More than 10 years experience in Fund Industry and atleast 4 years in Managerial role
