Microbiology Team Leader

CK Group are recruiting for an experienced Microbiologist at a Team Leader level, on behalf of a Pharmaceutical healthcare product manufacturer, to be based at their site in Glasgow, on a permanent basis. This role is fully lab based and would require the candidate to be hands-on in the laboratory and an expert in Pharmacopeia microbial testing.

The Role:

• Line management of microbiologist and responsible overseeing subcontract laboratories providing timely and efficient testing services.
• Hosting external and internal audits.
• Responsible for equipment and method validation.
• Ensure microbiology laboratories are maintained to comply to UK, EU regulatory requirements (GMP, ISO13485).
• To support in the laboratory when it comes to environmental monitoring and sampling and testing of water.

Your Background:

• Degree qualified in Microbiology or equivalent with industry experience (4yrs ).
• Previously worked in a GMP/ GLP compliant environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry (4yrs ).
• Extensive scientific knowledge within the microbiology function.
• Experienced in translating regulatory legislation into workable document.
