CAREER OPPORTUNITIES AT UTS:

We are seeking Secondary IELTS & ESL Teachers for our Go Vap campus to join our International Program community with an immediate start date. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering inspiring lessons and promoting a studentcentered environment that nurtures UTSs 6 Core Values: Integrity Respect Courage Contribution Lifelong Learning and Creativity.

Campus 1: UTS Van Lang Complex Campus

Gate 1: 69/68 Dang Thuy Tram Str. Ward 13 Binh Thanh District HCMC

Gate 2: 80/68 Duong Quang Ham Str. Ward 5 Go Vap District HCMC

    YOUR ACCOUNTABILITY
  1. Planning and Teaching
    • Working Hours: Monday to Friday 7:45 AM to 5:00 PM.
    • Secondary Teaching: Teachers are expected to deliver 30 teaching periods per week plus 2 fixed ECA or Tutorial periods. On occasion operational needs may require up to 32 periods per week 45 minutes per period.
    • Operational Flexibility: Teachers may be asked to adjust their schedules occasionally to meet the needs of the school community which includes supporting colleagues by covering classes when necessary.
    • Lesson Planning: Teachers will have access to a repository of PowerPoint lessons which can be adapted as necessary. However there will also be occasions where teachers are expected to create their own lesson plans.
  2. Parent Engagement and Student Wellbeing
    • Attend annual parentteacher meetings as scheduled.
    • Collaborate with local teachers to effectively communicate with parents about academic and social matters including followups on reports and during parentteacher meetings.
    • Regularly update student progress each quarter in our LMS system.
    • Ensure a purposeful and safe learning environment for all students.
  3. Curriculum Revision
    • Give feedback on the school curriculum when necessary.
    • Assist in the development and revision of the schools syllabi and materials if needed.

      JOB REQUIREMENTS
  1. Qualifications
    A university degree in Teaching or Education.
    A university degree plus a PGCE/QTS or teaching license is required as a minimum.
    Candidates with additional qualifications such as a masters degree or other advanced degrees in education will be given preferential consideration.
    IELTS certification is highly desirable

  2. Experiences & Skills
    Candidates must have been educated in Englishmedium institutions with English as both the medium of instruction and their first language.
    Expertise in IELTS instruction or ESL projectbased teaching is required with two distinct positions available. One role will focus solely on IELTS preparation while the other will be dedicated to projectbased ESL lessons.
    At least two years of teaching experience ideally in an international bilingual or similar teaching environment.
    Strong classroom management skills with the ability to implement 21stcentury learning strategies differentiated instruction and educational interventions tailored to diverse student needs.
    Adequate skills in IT including the creation of interactive presentations (PPTs).
    Strong teamwork skills with the capacity to collaborate effectively with colleagues and parents to foster a supportive and productive learning environment.

  3. Safeguarding and Student Safety
