Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the Desk Engineering operations within the designated country to ensure alignment with regional strategies and objectives.
- Coordinate with local sales and technical teams to implement geozone / global directives effectively at the country level.
- Provide onground technical knowledge and support to local customers assisting with troubleshooting and optimization of Well Construction products and services.
- Engage directly with clients to understand their needs and tailor solutions accordingly ensuring compliance with both global guidelines and local requirements.
- Collaborate with the global R&D and product management teams to facilitate the introduction and adaptation of new technologies and products within the country.
- Ensure that local operations are equipped to handle new technologies and provide feedback to regional teams on local market responses and potential improvements.
- Conduct regular safety trainings and audits to maintain high safety standards and awareness among the team.
- Generate technical documentation and proposals as required ensuring clear communication and documentation standards are met.
- Assist operations with onthejob support as needed leveraging expertise to enhance operational outcomes and customer satisfaction.
Skills:
- Deep understanding of well construction products and services including but not limited to Liner Hangers Cementing Products Inflatable Packers and Swellables.
- Proficiency in job design software and technical specifications calculations relevant to well construction.
- Ability to perform prejob calculations validate job designs and select appropriate equipment based on technical requirements.
- Competence in handling technical documentation and equipment procedures ensuring all operations meet industry and company standards.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills to effectively address operational challenges and optimize processes.
- Capability to adapt to changing operational demands and resilient in managing operational challenges and emergencies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Petroleum Mechanical Civil or related field). This foundational requirement ensures the candidate has a solid technical understanding necessary for the role.
- Minimum of 35 years of field experience in well construction drilling or related oilfield services. This demonstrates practical knowledge and handson skills.
- Minimum of 23 years in Desk Engineering or a similar role that involves technical sales support product development or customer interaction in the oil and gas industry.
- Advanced technical skills in software relevant to well construction and design such as AutoCAD SolidWorks or similar engineering design tools.
- Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to oversee complex projects and derive actionable insights from vast data sets.
