We at aQuaToxSolutions GmbH are dedicated to animal and environmental protection. We offer services to analyse the toxicity of chemicals and environmental samples using alternatives to conventional tests with fish. We use permanent fish cell lines and fish embryos for this purpose.
In order to strengthen our growing team of dedicated toxicology experts in the area of animal replacement in risk assessments we are looking for an expert who is eager to join us as:
Tasks
In this position you:
- take responsibility as Study Director of GLP and nonGLP studies in the field alternatives to animal testing with fish especially with regard to carrying out tests according to OECD TG249 and 236.
- lead R&D projects
- communicate with our clients to allow excellent study outcomes and timely completion including provision of study plans and reports and coordination with internal collaborators as well as with external partners nationally and internationally.
- support management in the further development of our testing portfolio and of the relationship with our rapidly growing client base.
Requirements
You bring:
- a PhD (or several years of work experience in a toxicology lab under GLP) in Biology Biochemistry Pharmacology Toxicology or Environmental Sciences with strong scientific background and practical experience in in vitro and/or in vivo procedures with prior work on vertebrate cells or fish embryos being of advantage.
- the knowhow to take technical leadership and responsibility and openness to share technical and other knowledge and expertise.
- prior experience in a Contract Research Organization (CRO) working under GLP as a strong asset.
- good communication skills and service orientation.
- excellent team spirit and a high level of commitment.fluency in spoken and written English with knowledge of other languages being a plus
