This role is responsible for managing the lifecycle of fixed assets at BMC. It includes asset acquisition tracking reporting and disposals. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies while providing detailed analyses to support financial planning and budgeting.
Job Responsibilities:
- Periodically checks the correctness of the cost per item for a selected sample of stock items.
- Review Purchase Order and checks the level of stock prior to processing the P.O.s
- Monitor and report slow moving stock items to Senior Management and follows up with the concerned officers to ensure taking proper action.
- Monitor / report damaged stock and investigates the reason(s) to ensure non occurrence.
- Receiving of supplies from Suppliers and their Inspection.
- Supervise Transfer of products from receiving to storage location.
- Handing and taking over of the items & Clearance of employee going on final exit.
- Storage of the items in the warehouse & other stores.
- Information transfer through ERP based inventory management system.
- Participates in all committees relating to inventory including:
1. Damaged stock committee.
2. Slow moving items committee.
3. Annual physical stock taking committee.
- Prepare a variety of financial reports including monthly quarterly and annual financial reports.
Carries out other similar or related duties as assigned
Requirements
Education: Bachelor of Accounting/ Finance / SOCPA Registration is a must
Experience: 35 Years experience in Fixed Assets.
