We are currently seeking a dedicated and forwardthinking International Baccalaureate (IB) Teacher to join a prestigious international school in Lisbon Portugal. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan deliver and assess engaging and rigorous lessons in line with the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum.
- Foster a studentcentered learning environment that encourages critical thinking collaboration and independent inquiry.
- Seamlessly integrate technology into daily teaching to enhance learning and digital literacy.
- Encourage global citizenship by incorporating discussions of global issues and problemsolving into the curriculum.
- Create handson projectbased learning opportunities especially in STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts and Mathematics) subjects.
- Support and guide students in their personal and academic development instilling a love for learning and encouraging curiosity.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
- Maintain a positive supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student wellbeing and success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Education or relevant subject area (Masters degree preferred).
- Teaching certification.
- Proven experience teaching within the IB curriculum and/or strong understanding of inquirybased and studentcentered learning.
- Ability to integrate technology into teaching practices and facilitate learning in a modern educational environment.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal with a collaborative mindset.
- Passion for fostering a global perspective and preparing students to thrive in an everchanging world.
Desirable Attributes:
- A passion for innovation in education with a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
- Experience teaching in international schools or diverse multicultural environments.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to extracurricular programs especially in sports performing arts or entrepreneurship.
- Interest in STEAMbased education and applied learning methodologies.
