Job Description
Seeking a Controller or Accounting Manager with experience in managing the accounting close and financial reporting for an insurance or financial services company. Proficiency in both GAAP and Statutory (blue book) financial reporting is essential.
Expectations:
- Oversee yearend close process and resource management to ensure timely completion.
- Manage divisional accounting and financial statement close processes.
- Review and analyze actual financial results reporting quarterly trends.
- Conduct firstlevel reviews of financial reporting packages and business line analyses.
- Ensure effective enterprise preclose and close processes managing significant transactions for accurate GAAP and regulatory reporting.
- Act as a liaison with Accounting Policy Operations Valuation and Tax during close execution.
- Ensure execution of internal controls and provide support to Divisional FP&A teams on quarterly results.
- Lead a team of 15 accountants in close execution and resource management.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years in accounting and reporting.
- Strong financial and leadership background.
- Proven ability to analyze financial results and trends.
- Relevant experience in the insurance or financial services industries.
