We will consider all experience levels for this position. Entrylevel candidates with demonstrated aptitude and a desire to learn will be given all the necessary training to be successful in this role. Experienced candidates will receive brandspecific training for the products we sell. All candidates will have the opportunity for a longterm career with advancement and above average earnings potential.
This repair and maintenance position earns a competitive wage of $18 $32 per hour depending on experience. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MARINE TECHNICIAN- Complete routine maintenance tasks such as winterizations spring services and oil changes on customer boats.
- Complete predelivery inspections and setup on new and used boats.
- Recondition used tradein boats and make ready for sale including buffing and minor gelcoat restoration.
- Diagnose and complete repairs on customer boats using basic tools and companyprovided advanced service and diagnostic equipment.
- Assist customers with parking and hitching/unhitching trailers
- Move boats safely and efficiently around the dealership with tractors
- Complete onwater lake tests and validations using companyowned service trucks
- Conduct service calls to customer locations for simple repairs and maintenance.
- Maintain a neat workspace
- Help out with lake tests grabbing tools lifting seats/motor boxes etc. for other techs
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Mechanical and technical skills
- Possess the needed hand tools
- Valid drivers license
- Good health and physical mobility
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to pass a preemployment background check and drug screen
- Relocation assistance available to the right applicant
- Build skills and proficiency through a variety of companypaid training programs including on the job internet and inperson training through manufacturer sponsored service schools.

WORK SCHEDULE FOR A MARINE TECHNICIANThis fulltime repair and maintenance position typically works 8 hour shifts MondayFriday and occasional weekends as needed. Overtime is available.
