Job Description

Special Education Teacher Position Immediate Opportunity!

FullTime Position

Setting: SchoolBased Environment

Start Date: ASAP

This position calls for a teamoriented professional who can work closely with parents caregivers and staff to develop wellrounded educational strategies tailored to each student s unique challenges. The LBS1 Specialist will be responsible for creating and executing individualized education plans (IEPs) that cater to the specific learning needs of students within a selfcontained classroom.

As a Special Education Teacher you will foster a positive classroom environment by utilizing effective reinforcement strategies to encourage constructive behavior. Your role involves adapting and implementing lesson plans to address the diverse learning needs of each student creating a safe and inclusive atmosphere that promotes active engagement. You will deliver instruction in core academic subjects while supporting the development of social and life skills. Additionally you will maintain open communication with parents and caregivers to discuss progress and collaboratively set goals. By regularly monitoring student growth keeping detailed records and refining your teaching methods you will ensure optimal outcomes for every learner.

Requirements

Candidates with prior experience working with students with disabilities are strongly preferred for this role. A Bachelor s or Master s Degree in Special Education or a related field is required. Additionally applicants must hold an active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an LBS1 endorsement to be considered.
