The Project Manager will be responsible for managing largescale transport and logistics projects ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and delivering exceptional service to clients. This role requires a deep understanding of the logistics industry with a focus on heavy and overdimensional transports as well as sea and airfreight. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams external partners and customers to oversee all aspects of project execution from planning to final delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage logistics projects involving heavy and overdimensional transports including sea and airfreight.
- Plan execute and monitor project schedules to ensure timely and efficient delivery of freight.
- Handle application and permit processes in compliance with German regulations.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders including freight forwarders customs officials and project engineers.
- Manage budgets negotiate contracts and ensure costefficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain strong client relationships and act as a point of contact for projectrelated inquiries.
- Develop risk management strategies and proactively resolve any projectrelated issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards across all logistics activities.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics and freight forwarding with a focus on heavy and overdimensional transports.
- Commercial training in freight forwarding (Kaufmann fr Spedition und Logistikdienstleistungen / Speditionskaufmann) or equivalent certification.
- Indepth knowledge of German application and permit processes for heavy and specialized transports.
- Fluent in German and English; strong communication skills in both languages are essential.
- Proven experience managing complex logistics projects and coordinating crossfunctional teams.
- Strong analytical skills attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in logistics management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
