Job Description

Position Summary

The Facilities Engineer is responsible for the scheduling design budget planning project economics construction oversight commissioning PSSRs and handover procedures for wellpads central facilities compressor stations water infrastructure for FRAC and pipeline construction. The role is based in Houston but requires frequent field visits.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze data PI&Ds/PFDs and production reports.
  • Standardize construction processes and manage workflow for wellpads and central facilities.
  • Analyze project costs prepare budgets forecasts and conduct spending reviews.
  • Ensure equipment and operational safety compliance including pressure relief valves safety systems hazardous electrical classifications and more.
  • Coordinate and oversee daily construction activities performed by both company and contract construction project managers.
  • Develop construction scopes of work for bidding and internal design reviews.
  • Produce daily reports and documentation for management.
  • Collaborate with multiple internal teams such as Drilling Completions Production Operations Supply Chain Finance and HSE.
  • Travel to field locations as required.
  • Identify and deliver optimization opportunities throughout production facilities.
  • Manage facility projects from inception to commissioning.
  • Create and modify designs for surface facilities and pipelines.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor or manager.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical electrical or petroleum engineering or a minimum of 5 years of upstream oil and gas experience.
  • Other Skills: Strong problemsolving abilities; able to work independently and thrive in a fastpaced ambiguous environment.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This role includes supervisory responsibilities over relevant construction and engineering activities.

Environmental & Physical Requirements

Primarily an officebased role but may involve working around machinery with moving parts. Physical activities could include walking standing sitting climbing stairs lifting up to 25 lbs and using office tools such as computers and phones. Extended or irregular work hours may be required.
