We are seeking a skilled and experienced Broadcast Technician to join our dynamic team. This position is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of our broadcasting equipment and systems, contributing to the production of high-quality broadcast content. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and the ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently, ensuring that our broadcasts run seamlessly.

Responsibilities: As a Broadcast Technician, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of broadcasting equipment, including cameras, video switchers, audio consoles, lighting systems, and related tools. Your role will involve troubleshooting technical issues promptly to minimize downtime, ensuring that all equipment functions optimally during live and recorded broadcasts.

You will be tasked with performing regular maintenance and repairs on broadcasting equipment, thus ensuring peak performance at all times. Setting up and operating the broadcast control room during live broadcasts will be a key aspect of your duties, including managing audio and video signals to create high-quality productions.

Collaboration is essential in this role; you will work closely with producers and directors to bring their creative visions to life through technical execution. Your expertise will also be vital in assisting with the planning and execution of both live broadcasts and recorded programs. Monitoring and adjusting audio and video quality will be part of your responsibilities, helping to maintain our high standards of broadcast quality.

Additionally, you will be expected to maintain a clean and organized work area, promoting safe and efficient operations within the broadcast environment.

Desired candidate profile

Requirements: Candidates should possess an Associate degree or equivalent in Broadcasting, Electronics, or a related field. Proven experience as a Broadcast Technician or in a similar role is essential, as is proficiency in operating and troubleshooting various broadcasting equipment, including cameras, switchers, and audio consoles.

Strong technical skills are a must, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve technical issues under pressure. A thorough understanding of broadcast signal flow and different audio/video signal types is important, alongside familiarity with broadcast automation systems and software.

The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment is crucial, as is excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Collaborating with team members to achieve common goals will be key to your success in this role.
