Job Description

Create and maintain technical documentation that communicates complex technical information to both technical and nontechnical audiences. Ensure product documentation user guides and manuals are clear accurate and accessible to users.

Note: This is a Hybrid position 3 Days OnSite 2 Days Remote. We are looking for a very Senior Local Resource who has a Minimum of 10 years of Technical Writing experience.

A Senior Technical Writer is a highly skilled professional responsible for creating and maintaining technical documentation that communicates complex technical information to both technical and nontechnical audiences. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that product documentation user guides and manuals are clear accurate and accessible to users helping them effectively use and understand the technology or products.

Responsibilities

1. Documentation Strategy

Develop and execute a documentation strategy that aligns with the organizations product development and release cycles.

Collaborate withproduct managers developers and subject matter experts to understanddocumentation needs.

Write edit andformat technical documentation including user manuals online help releasenotes API documentation and knowledge base articles.

3. Audience Analysis

Tailor documentationto suit the knowledge level and needs of different user groups.

Proficiently usedocumentation tools and software as provided by the NJ DOE.

5. Visual Elements

Ensure consistency invisual elements and formatting.

Conduct usabilitytesting of documentation with end users to gather feedback and makeimprovements.

7. Compliance andStandards

Maintain documentationquality and consistency across all materials.

Coordinate translationand localization efforts for documentation as needed for global audiences.

9. Training and Collaboration

10. Documentation Updates

Communicate updates to users through releasenotes and other channels.

Collect and analyze user feedback to identifyareas for improvement in documentation.

Qualifications

10 years of experience in technical writingincluding experience in a senior or lead role.

Proficiency in using technical writing toolsand software.

Experience writing technical documentation for cloud based software such as Salesforce AWS and Snowflake.

Knowledge of content management systems andversion control systems.

Strong organizational and project managementskills.

Experience with Agile developmentmethodologies is a plus.
