Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

  • We are seeking a motivated Junior Operations Manager to support our operational team in enhancing efficiency and productivity. The ideal candidate will assist in coordinating daily operations, optimizing processes, and ensuring that our goals align with the overall business strategy.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of operational processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Support the Senior Operations Manager in implementing strategic initiatives and projects.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless operations and communication.
  • Help manage budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation.
  • Participate in the development and training of staff to enhance team performance.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in operations management, business administration, or related field
  • Working knowledge of management software programs, including NetSuite, QuickBooks, and CenterPoint Payroll
  • Strong IT skills, including database development
  • Multiple years of financial and account reporting experience
  • Ability to communicate in more than one language
  • Ensuring compliance: Ensuring that health and safety measures are applied and that legislation is complied with
  • Improving processes: Contributing to process optimization and looking for trends that could lead to process improvements
  • Communicating: Facilitating communication between departments and providing timely responses to emails
  • Training: Assisting with the on-the-job training of new team members
  • Advising on cost-effectiveness: Advising on energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Managing teams: Selecting teams, evaluating staff performance, and planning career development

Desired candidate profile

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in operations or project management, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with project management software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of lean management or Six Sigma principles.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
