Job Description
The opportunity
Were currently looking for aFinance Trainee.Someone to join ourFinanceteam in Switzerlandin order to support financial operations and ensure the accuracy of accounting processes. Someone with a passion for electric mobility a keen interest in financial data and a desire to create change in a forwardthinking company like Polestar. This role will involve collaboration across teams especially in the areas of supplier invoicing dealer claims and financial reporting.
This position is located in Zrich Switzerlandand is a oneyear traineeship.We believe in a hybrid model when it comes to remote and onsite work knowing that both inperson collaboration and individual time to focus are needed. What matters most is that people get the time and support to do what needs to be done and enjoy doing it of course.
The responsibilities
In this trainee role youll learn aboutvarious financialprocesses byworking closely with the finance team ensuring accurate recordkeeping and supporting financial processes. Working as a member of the finance team youll be instrumental in maintaining financial integrity and supporting daily operations. See below for a breakdown of the main objectives of the traineeship andresponsibilities:
- Support accounts payable ensuring supplier invoices arebookedandpaid
- Assist in maintaining and updating the general ledger to ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded
- Support the validationand process dealer claims ensuring completeness and accuracy of documentation
- Assist in calculatingdealerclaims based on promotional activities and follow up on credit note issuance
- Monitor dealer stock levels and provideinternalreports
The ideal candidate
In order to succeed in this role and at Polestar in general youll need to be detailoriented with a high degree of accuracy.We expect you to have excellentcommunication skills to effectively interact with internal teams and external dealers.Youll thrive in this role if youre able to manage multiple tasks meet deadlines and proactively solve problems in a fastpaced environment.
In addition youll need the following qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration or a related field
- Proficiency in German and English (both written and spoken)
- Ability to work with financial data and perform calculations accurately
- Experience with financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
