Job Description
Project description:
As an Electrical Design Engineer for the System Test Team you will work closely with our system test teams to create and support industrial electrical schematics develop 2D and 3D electrical panel designs and plan wire harness designs and installations.
Tasks:
- Development design and documentation of switchgear for test benches up to 1 kV in accordance with IEC standards
- Preparation of missing CE documents (risk assessment manuals calculations etc.)
- Production drawings for cable harnesses switch cabinets mounting plates
- Adaptation of safety systems in accordance with EN ISO 13849
- Creation of circuit diagrams
- Support with cable harness design and installation
- Support with test equipment and data acquisition systems
- Management of system design data in Teamcenter
Skills:
- Degree in electrical engineering or mechatronics (industry/aerospace) or equivalent
- At least 3 years experience in creating circuit diagrams and working with CAD systems
- Experience in a system test or R&D environment
- Indepth knowledge of common harmonized standards of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU
- Knowledge of the Eplan software
- Fluency in English. Another plus is:
- Knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter
- Experience in the design of test instruments
- Fluency in German or knowledge of other languages
