Job Description
AWS Database Specialist
Location: Phoenix AZ
JD:
Key Responsibilities:
- Design implement and maintain AWS database solutions including Amazon RDS Amazon Aurora DynamoDB and Redshift.
- Monitor database performance and optimize queries indexes and configurations for improved efficiency.
- Ensure data integrity security and backup strategies are in place and regularly tested.
- Collaborate with development teams to create database schemas stored procedures and other database objects.
- Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolutions to ensure minimal downtime.
- Perform regular database maintenance including updates migrations and scaling as needed.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to database architecture procedures and best practices.
- Stay current with AWS database services and industry trends to provide innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience with AWS database services and management.
- AWS Certified Database Specialty or related certification.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with database security best practices and compliance standards.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
