Job Description
As a Junior Marketer and Administrative Assistant you ll play a pivotal role in revitalizing the online presence of this niche artistic enterprise while gaining handson experience in digital marketing and business administration. You ll work directly with the owner to implement modern marketing strategies manage social media accounts and handle crucial administrative tasks. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth of a business that spans performance education retail and costume hire all centered around the rich tradition of bagpiping.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage social media strategies for Facebook Instagram and TikTok
- Create engaging content to boost online presence and audience engagement
- Maintain and update customer databases focusing on rebuilding international connections
- Design and execute email marketing campaigns using platforms like Mailchimp
- Research and compile contact information for event managers and potential clients and contact people within the various we work within and grow the contacts list.
- Assist in creating marketing materials such as flyers and promotional videos
- Handle data entry and general administrative duties to support business operations
- Aid in planning and coordinating international performance opportunities
- Generate leads and help rebuild the client network postCOVID
- Collaborate with the owner to align marketing efforts with business objectives
Requirements
- Proficiency in social media management and digital marketing strategies (Facebook Instagram TikTok Twitter)
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience with database management and data entry
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g. Mailchimp)
- Basic understanding of graphic design and video editing tools
- Selfmotivated with ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Interest in or appreciation for music and cultural performances
- Adaptability to work in a unique niche industry
- Comfortable with remote work and regular checkins
- Ability to commit to a parttime schedule of 20 hours per week preferably 4 hours per day Monday to Friday (happy to be flexible)
